We Heard Our New Baby's Heartbeat Today!

Today was our 2nd appointment for the new baby. We drove in the snow there and back! It was so pretty. Everything went well. The doc. said my bloodwork from last time came back perfect and so did the urine samples. He wasn't sure if we'd be able to hear the heartbeat today since I am only 11 weeks 1 day today but we were able to! It was the sweetest sound. Here is a pic of our baby at 7 weeks (at our 1st appointment). He/she has changed a lot since this pic I'm sure!



We had seen the heart beating in the sonogram last visit and that was exciting but it made it even more real today when we heard the little pitter patter noise. Thank you God for this sweet baby. We feel so blessed and are sooo excited! So is Merrae. She always asks about the baby and lifts up my shirt and even pats my belly sometimes. Anytime she sees a picture of a baby or an actual baby, she lights up and says "Baby" real sweet. She also has to go over to it and touch it or kiss it. She will be a good big sister. Here's Merrae in the snow this afternoon....yes, it snowed again!!!!! Yesterday it was 65 and today it's snowing! It's supposed to snow through the night and into tomorrow morning at 10 am. She had so much fun looking at it, stomping in it, and having it blow on her. She called it "no" for a while but on the way home from the doctor she actually said the "s" sound and said "snow". So cute. Oh yeah, and she also said "doctor".
